With spring upon us, I find myself drawn to this delightful hue. It feels comforting and exciting all in the same powerful little punch. I don’t know if it is because my nursery (turned little girl’s room) growing up was yellow gingham or because I have an obvious obsession with bumble bees, but it just makes me happy! The girly yellow dress from last year’s JCrew spring line was the inspiration for the collage – the perfect out fit for spring…. enjoy!

In honor of st patty’s day, I’ve compiled a few little green pendants. Pendant lighting is a great way to spruce up any space, including rentals. As long as you know what you are doing, replacing a lighting fixture can be easy and give you the most bang for your buck! what do truffles, vanilla, champagne, cafe lates, and dark chocolate all have in common? Inspiration for the bathroom of course! Well, not of course, but it seemed to be the perfect combination for my client. She wanted to create a retreat for her master bathroom and all of these “indulgences” sounded perfect! Here is the inspiration board I put together for her…

The vanity equipped with granite counter and shower with accent mosaic glass tile.
The Jacuzzi tub is the perfect finishing touch on this indulgent master bath. Inspiration was also taken from items the couple already owned, like this frame with photo from their wedding.

I like the addition of green to this purple/pink pallet. I think it helps tone it down.

This lovely piece came to my boyfriend & I from his mom and from her grandmother before that…. all in all, very old!
My boyfriend grew up admiring it and now it was ours. The floral upholstery, a handmade needle point from great grandma, didn’t quite fit with our style – but how impressive!
So a simple makeover in a new black upholstery, the original upholstery tacks and a striped pillow, updates this piece that we welcomed into our home. Who knows, maybe it will be passed down to our great-grandchildren!
